Time is running out

We are in the process of compiling the new listings for all the RH shows in Michigan for RocKYtober 2015. If you plan to do a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and/or plan to Shadowcast it, or put on the  Rocky Horror play, please contact us as soon as possible so we can list your show! Send all the information you want listed to (Note to spammers: this email account will be deleted after November 1st).

THE RHPS 40th Anniversary is coming up this month!

Update: MiRHPS in Detroit Metro Area

We earlier reported that the Michigan Rocky Horror Preservation Society was going to have a Tiki Theme Night on their first show in August. That was in error, as it is actually going to be on their second August show on the 22nd.

They would like to make sure everyone knows that they will not be having a second show in September, because they will all be in NYC at the RHPS 4oth Anniversary convention instead.  Their only September show will be on September 12th. They will be back with a show every single weekend in October, however!

Rockytober 2015 is coming soon!

We will be doing our updates for Rockytober in the very near future. If you plan to do a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, or plan to shadowcast it, or put on the play, please contact us as soon as possible so we can list your show! If you know of a screening or play that we don’t have listed, let us know!

St Joseph!

St. Joseph’s Mickey’ Pub will be invaded by the Hot Patooties cast out of South Bend, Indiana for a one-time show on July 17th! See their Facebook event page for details:

Latest Michigan Happenings

This time of year, not too much Rocky Horror related is happening. But here’s a couple things.

Metro Detroit Area: The Michigan Rocky Horror Preservation Society just celebrated their 2nd anniversary this month and is still doing  their spectacular shows every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each and every month at the State Theater in Wayne. Know that’s the case, even if we forget to update them in the “Upcoming Shows” list. Since their theater was renovated in November 2014, they have sold out practically every single show, so if you want to go see them, it’s best to buy your ticket well in advance. Go to their website and follow the links. They will be having various theme nights once each month over the summer: Patriotic Night; last show in June. Sock Hop; first July show. Tiki Night: first August show. They will be at the RHPS 40th Anniversary Convention in NYC during the weekend of their second September show, to it’s TBD at this point if they will have a show that weekend.

Jackson Area: The Glorious Garters won’t be doing any shows until Halloween. However, they will be doing a Repo! the Genetic Opera / RHPS double feature that night at the Michigan Theater.

That’s all the info we have for Michigan happenings. For national and international happenings, you’ll want to check out RockyHorror.ORG or RockyHorror.COM or for info on the RHPS 40th anniversary convention in New York, is the website.

ROCkyTOBER 2014 Is Here!

October is the favored time of the year for special Rocky Horror showings and performances, thus we dub the month to be ROCkyTOBER! We’ve compiled this list by direct contact with all venues involved and all information is current as of the date of publishing. The information listed is everything we were given, thus for further information for each event, we recommend you contact the respective theater directly. This list will be updated as we receive new/additional information.

Happy 39th RHPS!

Rockytober 2014 List coming soon!

We will be posting the list of all the RH showings & plays very soon. If you are in Michigan and in a production of RH or are showing the movie and want to advertise it, contact us!

State Wayne Theatre Under New Ownership

The home of the Michigan Rocky Horror Preservation Society, the State Wayne Theatre in Wayne, Michigan, changed hands as of July 2014. The new owners have many improvements planned for the theater. The most notable change that will take place is targeted for mid-August. They will be replacing all the 70-some year old seats in the entire theater with brand new, pleather, ultra-luxurious, electrically operated recliners! There is a downside to this, however.

The MiRHPS has been knocking the socks off their fans and have been consistently having very full houses and several sold outs as well. To meet the demand, they’ve gone from performing once a month to twice a month. But since the new seats are so much larger than the old, there will be a significantly reduced seating capacity moving forward. What this will mean is every single performance MiRHPS does will sell out completely!

MiRHPS advises everyone who would like to come see them, to be sure to pre-purchase your tickets way ahead of time. Tickets can be purchased either at the box office or online (click on one of their performance dates under UPCOMING SHOWS, then follow the link for online ticketing)

Visit their site at for links to the theater’s ticketing and directions.
